Since last update, after picking a slot and starting the aircraft in a multiplayer server, most of the time the volume of voice and effects from SRS and VoiceAttack will suddenly decrease to an all but inaudible level.

No changes to volume settings in either the apps or DCS have been made. No switching of audio devices, either. A restart of DCS fixes the problem, until I join a MP server, take a slot, and start the aircraft.

Tested with F-5 and Huey.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This appears to have been a Windows sound setting issue; must have been turned on in a recent Windows update.

I am not sure if this is related but it does seem to be.

When I listed to music in iTunes in the background, certain combat actions such as guns firing cause my music to become explosively loud (painful with headphones on), and then it will return to normal. The exact triggers I am unsure of, but the mission I am most able to notice it is a WWII scenario and sometimes the orientation of the aircraft I am watching via F2 relative to the camera can make a difference so perhaps engine noises is one of them.

This anomaly does not occur in any other game or application on my system - solely when playing DCS world.
