Actually you can do it now in Flaming Cliffs in multiplayer. Place an object on the ground, allocate observer to a player, player chooses object, CTRL F11, and you have the view from the object and can move around.

What you do not have is the kit that the FAC has, binos, laser desig, wands etc etc, but it is enough to call in an airstrike in the old fashioned way.

I think this thread refers specifically to the thing shown in the TBS video. It's obvious you can do FAC already, it's one of the Hawg's operational roles complete with smoke rockets (four Zuni smokers in a 19-tube hydra launcher though?). Anyway, while you can surely act as a FAC, you can't necessarily BE a FAC with the whole kit and kaboodle... or can you? That, my friends, is the question being presented here today. (At least, I think that's what F.I. meant by this thread)

Pretty much, yeah. I mean even if it doesn't come out initially it would be one of the easiest packages to add on. It's not like adding a new aircraft with all the detailed physics of the plane's attribute or the microscopic attention to the cockpit. It's be laser , binoculars, vehicle etc..

It's either TBS Part I or TBS Part II, I can't remember. BTW, one of those also shows the Harrier, haven't seen any screens or read any updates on that one (cough).

I asked something similar in another thread. EvilBivol said that I'll be able to share my target data I'm actually lasing via data link. I think we can act as FAC (of course as AFAC) by helo. That guy actually playing FAC can practice hovering:joystick: OK, it would be better to place real TACP guys on a hilltop with full equipment, but playing CAS with FAC it will be cool. However, I think we (my friends) won't use data link but TeamSpeak for FACing: 15 or 9-liner CAS, MEDEVAC, CASEVAC etc. request.

I'm thinking on my last reply. Act as TACP there are only map view and TeamSpeak needed:) But playing with an AFAC helo is more funny.
