Thank you streakeagle for your info, it help me a lot finally. I am going to buy GF mk. III with TM warthog adopter and 10cm extension. I love fly A-10C a lot.

Just if I use the 10cm extension with maybe #50 spring will stick be centered ok due to weight of warthog grip?

A single #50 on both axes is what I use with the 10cm and 20cm extensions. It works just fine with both TM grips. The extra weight makes it a little easier to move than the plastic grips, but I have no problems with self-centering.

I bought the warthog adapter...because the hornet one is not in stock and i am tired of not using my hornet grip...so i couldn't wait anymore.

I have a 20cm extension but i cannot use it as i have not enough clearance forward (the grip touchs my desk).

So actually I am using an MCG pro (which I will sell) without extension and with the standard no center cams, 1 #20 and 1 #10 springs on the Y axis and 1 #20 spring on the X axis.

So my question...given the added weight of the Hornet grip, will be better to have more springs and cam with a center detent?

What do you advise?

Also i have seen a guy on facebook which managed to limit the throw of his Winwing stick using cable ties. Would be nice to limit Y axis forward and X axis like in many real planes (f18 and f14 among the others)

I can't stand cams with a center detent. Using one would defeat the purpose of me replacing the Warthog stick with the VKB GF. I use single #50 springs and have no problems with self centering. I haven't tried lower springs because I was already using #50 with the MCG Pro and 20 cm extension from the day of delivery. I have tried 2 x #40 and preferred the single #50 on both axes.

Ok thanks...i also wouldn’t like to use the center detent cam...but I read somewhere that with the warthog/hornet grip it is needed.

So are you using 50# spring with the 20cm extension and the warthog grip?

Or without the extension?

Yes: warthog grip, 20 cm extension and #50 spring works fine for me.

The warthog adapters come with a heavy detent cam.

I tried it once and immediately went back to the smooth cam.

Maybe the detent cams feel better with lighter springs, but they feel horrible with #50.
