marcoscosta Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 I use a 23 'monitor with 1080 resolution, I struggle to see anything at close range, everything is very small and appears as a single pixel at 4nm away. Even a KC-135 is indistinguishable from a SU-27, as in the attached screenshot. I don't know what else I can change, any tips? randomTOTEN Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 You have a fish-eye perspective. You sacrifice resolution in the middle of your display (where you're trying to see airplanes) for resolution at it's edges. That HUD is enormous and should take up the vast majority of your forward vision, yet it takes up a tiny fraction of your screen. Zoom in.
marcoscosta Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 The same thing happens in any aircraft, look, in my F-5 with zoom, only the KC-135 slightly distinguishable. randomTOTEN Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 (edited) I can distinguish the KC-135 from the fighters in your F5 screen. If you want to distinguish the fighters you're going to need to reduce your distance. Edited April 14, 2020 by randomTOTEN
