dssrtfx Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) I flew the Mistral on Hoggit's TNN training server. It's so much fun, thank you, Polychop, for continuing to support it. I used to fly it a ton before the Hornet got released, and I've been flying fixed-wings pretty much exclusively since then. Again, thank you. So much fun. Two questions: (1) How does SRS work in this module now? I'm hot-mic'ing intercom, and can't figure out how to transmit on the UHF and FM radios other than setting SRS to "Always Allow SRS Hotkeys" (2) Is there IFF that I need to flip on now? Just want to ask in case I appear as No-Response/Hostile on Multiplayer. Edited April 18, 2020 by dsrtfx
Polychop Simulations Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Hi dsrtfx, SRS has been updated to work with the keybinds of the Gazelle. There are 2 ways to select the active radio but you have to keep in mind that both the left and right seat pilots have their own radio select panels. Bind the following keybinds: Pilot Intercom --> VHF Radio Selection Pilot Pilot Intercom --> FM Radio Selection Pilot Pilot Intercom --> UHF Radio Selection Pilot Copilot Intercom --> VHF Radio Selection Copilot Copilot Intercom --> FM Radio Selection Copilot Copilot Intercom --> UHF Radio Selection Copilot These are the buttons that allow you to transmit on the corresponding radios in SRS. Alternatively you can "push" the radio volume buttons on the intercom panels using the mouse to select the radio as the "active"radio. In SRS make sure you either have a PTT switch bound and Always allow SRS hotkeys on, or have "Radio Switch Works As Push To Talk (PTT)" selected in settings. The actual intercom channel you see in SRS is there to communicate between pilot and copilot in multicrew. Multicrew right now is not functional and degraded by numerous updates of the core engine. It is on VOX so always transmitting but not of any use unless you are in a multicrew session. Even though the IFF panel is modeled in the Gazelle, it was never fully implemented and "clickable" as around the release and some years after, there was never any use for IFF. I have added it to my personal wishlist of things I'd like to implement at some point though. Functional IFF was only added to SRS a few months ago and we'll have to see how and if we can implement this. My understanding of how SRS handles it, is that as long as it animates and has the necessary data so SRS can see the switch positions it should work
