Mission Template - Question - Request

To all the creative experts,

 

 

I would like to create (or find an existing) mission template that includes various standalone Mods collectively. For example a base Miz that already includes:

 

 

ATIS mod

RAT (for both military and civilian flights)

Airport misc items (fuel trucks, signage, generatrors etc)

 

 

So my question is:

 

 

Is it possible to find seperate miz files that include any of the above and then somehow merge them into a single new miz file?

 

 

Finally my request is for details of anything that already includes some of the above, if not all?

Most Mods have to be installed on your /Saved Games/DCS/Mods folder, so there is no way to have them included within a .MIZ file .. even if you place them inside, DCS will not be able to use them, as the Mods have to be loaded during DCS startup, long before you are able to load a MIZ.

 

So my question is:

 

Is it possible to find seperate miz files that include any of the above and then somehow merge them into a single new miz file?

 

The only way to merge items onto a new Mission is to make use of either Group Templates (that can load a single Group of ground units at any arbitrary location) or Static Templates (that can load any mix of Air-Sea-Ground Units and Statics, but on pre-defined locations of the map).

 

None of these Templates can load a Script (needed for RAT), nor triggers or trigger zones .. just Units (and Static objects, on the case of Static Templates).

My apologies, I should have made it clearer that I fully appreciate that the mods themselves need to be downloaded and installed in "Save Games"

 

 

I can of course download and install each as necessary - my request part was if anyone had an example miz that already made use of the mods and included the necessary scripts?

Here I have a sample mission with Military RAT for the red side, I dont have the other mods that you mention, so cant help there.

Thank you - very much appreciated.

 

I've got the Virpil airport equipment Mod installed and working so with this addition I've got two of the three parts I need for my goal.

 

Just ATIS to add and then see how I can fold all three elements into a new single miz.

This is something I cobbled together from various existing Mods and Moose scripts. My thanks to the original creators of each of course.

 

 

ATIS is available at 3 airports (freq details in the briefing)

 

 

RAT consists of A400's in Iran & C130's and C-17's for blue.
