JIMJAM Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 I would really like more control over the sound such as more sliders. I run through a 4 speaker system with 2 "Buttkickers" to vibrate the seat and pedals. You tweak to get the cockpit sound where you want it but if I watch a external view of bombs exploding the filling in my teeth start falling out!! The internal vs external sound difference are very far apart. Also would be nice to adjust the rolling, touch down, gear up/down etc. Not just for one's personal pref but for those who have sound transducers to give tactile feedback.
Lenux Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 Thanks, Keshman, the F16C mod helped me Which sdef did you adjust, for the throttle? Keshman Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 After installing the mod... Add, create file ThrottleLimIn.sdef and install it in the folder Aircrafts/F-16/ThrottleLimIn.sdef Aircrafts/F-16/ThrottleLimIn.sdef wave: Effects/Aircrafts/F-16/Cockpit/ThrottleLimIn_1 Effects/Aircrafts/F-16/Cockpit/ThrottleLimIn_2 Effects/Aircrafts/F-16/Cockpit/ThrottleLimIn_3 Effects/Aircrafts/F-16/Cockpit/ThrottleLimIn_4This sound is like on the demo video at the beginning and end of the Throttle move. Optionally.. You can also add to folder modified files sdef: Throttle_To_Afterburner, Throttle_From_Afterburner. Lenux Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Thanks a million Off topic question : does anyone know how to add a blueish tint / canopy scratches /from the cockpit view ? Harker Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Thanks a million Off topic question : does anyone know how to add a blueish tint / canopy scratches /from the cockpit view ?Modify the f16c_glass_canopy(_cl)(_gold)_refl.dds for the tint. The (x) are for the different canopy versions (4 total, transparent/gold with/without pre-baked reflections). Modify the one you'll use and select it from the Special Options in the game. It's located inside F-16C-CPT-TEXTURES.zip, in \Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Textures. If you want more scratches, increase the contrast of the normal map file located in the same zip, named f16c_cpt_glass_NRM.png. Backup the zip file before you change anything, if course and I'll highly recommend that you use a mod manager to disable the mod before updates/repairs and enable it after. huge Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Does anybody else find the engine sounds loop is too short? I find it annoying at MIL throttle there is a definite start and stop loop sample.
