MiG-29 BARO ALT HOLD bug

Hi!

 

I've just tested MiG-29A barometric altitude hold with Autopilot override and in some cases it reverts to the original altitude where you overrided it, but in the case of the video it just goes wild even if I release AP override while at level flight. Hope this helps.

I found the override to work, but a bit rough and might need work. The moment you release it it seems to initially want to snap back to the original hold attitude, and takes a few seconds before it corrects the trim to the new desired attitude. It costs a bit too much energy from the aircraft sometimes, especially when cruising in thin air above 35k feet

just noticed it today, its weaving up and down and the trim light keeps flashing. Same with the SU-27. F15 keps it more or less. JF17 no problem, Mirage and F-14 keeps going up and down a few feet very slowly. As i remember it wasnt like that sometime ago

It uses the trim system. So the light should turn off and on. Most autopilot systems oscillate at certain flight regimes, it’s just a question of the oscillation is too much
