Lenux Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I updated the firmware on the Virpil throttle and all the assigned buttons, axis, are gone for the throttle I'll have to start over again with all the aircrafts Is there a way to assign some buttons which I use the same, for every aircraft, with a single setting ?. I have a lot of aircrafts, it will take a lot of time For example, throttle, F1, F2, F3, F5, air brake ON / Off. Those are for all the aircrafts Thank you I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
Rudel_chw Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) Probably what happened is that Windows see the updated throttle as a new device and so assigned to it a new usb ID. You can rename the old hotas.diff.lua file at /saved games/dcs/control/input/aircraft, so that the filename uses the new ID, and then you will have your old bindings back. Rudel_chw Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Not working, unfortunately Thank you, anyway Hello, For example, this image is from the Joystick folder of one of my DCS planes (the C-101): When I reinstalled Windows on November 2019, the USB ID for my Hotas changed, and that changes the name DCS gives to the file where it stores your bindings. The old file, from February 2019, is still there but DCS ignores it and tries to use the new file, that is created automatically by DCS when I bind anything new on that plane. To fix, I have two choices: 1) I rename the old file, so that it haves the same name as the new file. 2) Copy/paste the contents of the old file onto the new, using Notepad++ Give it a try  Eduardo For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

It isnt a matter of replacing the whole folder .. most likely you still have the old diff.lua on your current folder ... the problem is that DCS doesnt look into the old file. You need to either rename the old file to look like the new, or copy/paste the content.
