Zboboinator Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) HI all, I haven't seen a post about it but does anyone know if a function to put the carrier into windward position should or will be implemented? I mean is the carrier going to follow a given heading and change courseto face the wind when you're going to catapult or land and then come back on the way. I think it's a really interesting feature, what do you think? Good flight ! Edited May 16, 2020 by Zboboinator
Greyman Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 From Wags' mission editor video, it would appear that mission creators will need to place the SC, with a heading, speed and a suitable strength headwind, to allow it to to stay on course for as long as the mission needs to, whilst providing good landing conditions for recoveries. There have been a few discussions about automating the SC's heading, so as to make use of the prevailing wind, but that is unlikely to appear in the module, at least not early in Early Access. Of course, that doesn't mean that somebody won't produce a modification that makes this happen.
