zero Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Tomcat is my favorite aircraft. Too bad the replay does not work. With the supercarrier I really want to see replay of the action. Is it a way to make short movie of takeoff/landing? Or do you have to purchase Hornet.? :pilotfly:
Spiceman Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Server/multiplayer tracks are not nearly as bad. Host a multiplayer server for yourself and use that track. I think you’ll have better luck. zero Posted May 19, 2020 Author Posted May 19, 2020 Single player - no server. From cold start, it crash into terrain 5 minutes after takeoff. I noticed it is slightly off during taxi. The Jester circle stays on too. (Using trackir, turned off during replay). I found the third party planes often crash in replay.. I will try figure out how to start a movie om approach and landing. Guess the errors does not generate a major off path during a short playing time. :pilotfly:

Dunno if it still the case though.
IronMike Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I would advice to use server tracks instead of SP. Here is the difference, simplified: server tracks record the positions of aircraft, where it was at a given time. Desync etc can still influence this, but less likely. in SP, the track system records every single input you make and tries to recreate the replay from that. This is where the DCS system does not seem capable to keep up with the Multicrew and/or Jester aspect. We're not sure why and unfortunately cannot really do anything about it. My guess is that it does not really know which of the 2 cockpits (pilot or RIO) to record, or mixes them, etc.. which adds up and leads to an erronous playback.
