Orestd Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 I am a newbie trying to figure out all the problems I am having with the different aircraft I own. In the F14 I have occasional VDI problems. Usually during a dogfight but at time just in regular flight the VDI will change to the black screen and I pretty well loose all my weapon functionality. Can anyone explain to me why this happens and how to prevent this from happening. Thanks.
Golo Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Check the accelerometer after if that happens again, if its needle is pegged at +10 after dogfighting, its probably because you shattered the IMU - Inertial Measurement Unit that measures and show your position when flying. Its very easy to "over g" the Tomcat since it does not have any limiters like modern jets with FCS so be more careful with it.
