markturner1960 Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Hi, what are the correct fuel flow rates at idle, mil, and afterburner please? System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

markturner1960 Posted May 19, 2020 Author Posted May 19, 2020 Hi Dee Jay, hope you are well...perhaps RPM would have been a better one to use.. Just trying to check my cougar throttle is properly set up - At fully back I am at 62%, in the idle detent, I am approx 80%, at the mil detent ( not in it) I am 96%, at max travel I am at 99% Do these seem right? Etirion Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) In the instant action "Take Off" mission in caucasus I am at 65% in idle and 98% in Mil on the ground, keep in mind this will rise with airspeed. Afterburner will rise above 100% eventually but on the ground it stays with 98% for me until the airspeed builds and the fans get some air to drink. Edited May 19, 2020 by Etirion
Bonzo0181 Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 I think it's more useful to use the controls indicator (RCtrl+enter) to check that. It has idle and afterburner marks. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mvsgas Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Hi, what are the correct fuel flow rates at idle, mil, and afterburner please? Hi Dee Jay, hope you are well...perhaps RPM would have been a better one to use.. At idle Fuel Flow in Pound Per Hours (PPH) should be anywhere from 700-1700. RPM is 62% to 80%. As you can see there is no specific number at idle. Above idle, real life manual only mention the limits, meaning RPM should not exceed 106%, no limit on PPH, etc. I think Bonzo0181 had the best suggestion, I use the control indicator together with sound to tell where the throttle is. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
