Seal550 Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Hello there. First, apologize my poor english skills :music_whistling: I have a big trouble during the landing on carrier with F/A-18C When I catch the wire, the plane rears systematically. AoA and Speed seems ok ?! Miss something? here a quick video with a pretty bad approach :megalol: https://youtu.be/ZVBkqs67Rgc Thanks for any advice Fly Safe.
Repth Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Your Anti Skid is on. That needs to be off when landing on the carrier.
Repth Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Looks on in the video. Only other option would be to check your brake axis in settings. You may need to invert that depending on the pedals you use, if any.
G.J.S Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 In close you were making a lot of pitch movements chasing the ball, resulting in you slamming the deck in the final few seconds as you were high. The slam coupled with the wire gaining tension could result in a "wheelie"? :dunno: - - - The only real mystery in life is just why kamikaze pilots wore helmets? - - -

Thank you Repth, the wheel brakes were assigned to the twist axis (by default probably) Great, I can improve myself :) Thank you all for your reactivity
