LJQCN101 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) That's engine surge above operational airspeed, which is 700kts. The anti surge system will reduce fuel flow and cutting afterburner for several seconds once a surge is detected. The sound and visual effect doesn't make it to this patch however. (Even more to come regarding limitations, but the manual really needs an update. Also a new training mission is planned to elaborate all the limitations of the aircraft.) Tiger-II Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 733 kts CAS is where the engine coughs. :) You're OK until 730 kts. Motorola 68000 | 1 Mb | Debug port "When performing a forced landing, fly the aircraft as far into the crash as possible." - Bob Hoover. The JF-17 is not better than the F-16; it's different. It's how you fly that counts. "An average aircraft with a skilled pilot, will out-perform the superior aircraft with an average pilot."

Tiger-II Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Not a dead number actually. I know, but it's a good ball-park to start. :D I noticed this at the lower altitudes.
