Alpha Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Currently in RWS there is no way to center a less-then-140deg-azimuth scan off-centerline. This is unrealistic and a pretty important function IRL. Usually one doesn´t fly in 140 a lot as the time for one frame is way too high then. Also in short range recommits it is standard practice to slew the radar into the turn IRL. The function IRL is that in RWS with less than 140 degrees azimuth the scan centers on the lateral point (azimuth) where TDC is depressed once (different to how it works in TWS). Please add this function as it is rather important for proper Radar work. Thanks

Alpha Posted May 30, 2020 Author Posted May 30, 2020 I used to think that, but then it was falsly flagged "unrealistic" and never updated due to the wording "slew" instead of "centering"... ;-) Now i´m hoping for some kind of response as this feature is actually more important IRL than (for example) air-ground-radar... :)
