Terrain Shadows and Rendering line

Hello All,

 

Tried to figure this issue out with BIGNEWY over in Discord today, but at the time he wasn't able to replicate the problem, so he asked me to post my issue in the forum.

 

I've tried every possible setting change either in game or in the Nvidia control panel. If i want the best quality shadows (Shadows "HIGH" and Terrain Object Shadows "Default) I have this sort of rendering line updating the shadows as I fly along.

In the video below you can see that this is clearly noticeable in Georgia, but over on the Persian Gulf you need to see the video with extra attention. If you look closely to the right, you can see that on Persian Gulf, i still have a rendering line that updates the object shadows.

 

Can't figure out what's causing this. No Mods, nothing extra installed. Same thing happens in Stable.

 

I'm coming to the conclusion that the issue might be my GTX 1080. I would love to have some input from someone who owns a 1080 card.

Running open beta , and the msaa mask enabled with default terrain shadows shows this in my system . I chose to run flat only to eliminate the problem .

I don't run pancake , so if you do , i cannot address this problem , but i doubt it is your gpu .

Yeah, “flat” is the only way to make that “rendering line” disappear. But yet again, I would like to have the best shadows possible.

 

Let’s see if someone from ED can help us figure out what’s causing this.
