Hi all, I would consider myself as a new user to DCS and I am slowly building up my system to the point of having Quest LINK VR, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Downloaded Voice attack but not used as yet.

Please bear with me LoL:helpsmilie:

Now I have used the Quest a few times and when I have gotten it to work I am blown away with VR. However, it does not always play nice which may be down to me or not with how and what order I start programs on the PC. ie DCS first or Quest first etc. If it refuses to play I cannot get the VR view of DCS aircraft which is a Pain in the Rear to be honest. Is there a defined way or order in starting VR up to get consistent results?

Also with regards to the TMW HOTAS. I would like to use this with Helicopters but struggle to get the split throttle setup for RPM and Collective separately. Are there any Flingwing jockeys that have profiles saved for Helicopter use?

Is there anywhere that stored profiles can be found/downloaded?

Also would I be correct in assuming that all the correct bindings would already be in place for the TMW HOTAS if I purchased the A10-C from ED or would I have to troll through the setup for this anyway?

Lots of questions but I have searched and seem unable to find clear instructions, there are a lot of refferences to LUA files but I openly admit to being technically illiterate in this area so any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers:thumbup:

I always start VR first (Rift CV1) and make sure that sensing is correct. Then start DCS. Start VR first.

With the helicopters you can really forget about the throttle. Just map the collective to your throttle. For added realism I have it reversed ie pulling the throttle ADDs collective.

Re the warthog bindings, I think most controls should be bound. I still have to go through and check (especially flight controls) that there are not duplicate bindings for the flight controls.

Thanks for the swift response lobo.

The order of starting things up seems to be what I have found out to be the problem in general but now you have confirmed that I can strike that of the list at least LOL.

I have been doing the same as yourself venturing into mapping the Throttle as the collective (reversed). I have a few hundred hours on real helicopters but next to nothing on sims so a new learning curve for me here and I didn't want to get bogged down in setting up things that didn't really need it.

Now to look at voiceatack!!

Thanks for the help.
