mvsgas Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I thought the F-16 had composite wing sections, but I might mistake it with the Japanese F-2? AFAIK in blk 40/42 the wing is all metal, I mean it is a fuel tank as well so don't know what all different metals are in there but LEF is all metal (I thought any way) and if you look at a photos on the trailing edge of the wing, outboard of the flaperons, there is a part of the wing with 3 little sticks (AKA static discharger's) extending aft. The part of the wing where dose static discharger's extend aft from, might be composite but I thought it was all metal as well. Sorry I don't have photo shop and don't know how to edit photos to post them. P.S. Ok maybe this will work That part of the wing. Is like one foot long by 8 inches wide or so not sure but that might be what you are talking about. I thought it was all metal. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
