Nexus-6 Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Hell to the yes! I was wondering about that. Will this campaign be "A model only", or will I be able to use my beloved "GE Turkey"? Looking forward to it either way. Can't pretend fly as well as you can.

Based on how Reflected was responding, it sounds like this will be explicitly for the "A." Based on the F-14B delivery rates, there would have been a chance for the plane to show up from fleet squadrons at TOPGUN by about 1989; VF-74 completed their transition in late 1988, their sister squadron VF-103 at the start of 1989. But, if this is set in the mid-1980s, there shouldn't be an F-14B. 1 Rig: i9 10900KF @5.3GHz | 64GB G.Skill DDR4 3600MHz | ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3090 24GB OC | ASUS Maximus XII Formula | 2x 2TB Intel SSD6 NVMe M.2 | VKB F-14CG on Gunfighter III Base | TM Warthog HOTAS | TM Rudder Pedals | HP Reverb G2 Hangar: FC3 | F-86F | F-4E [Pre-Ordered] | F-5E | F-14A/B | F-15E | F-16C | F/A-18C | Mirage 2000C | JF-17 | MiG-15bis | MiG-19P | MiG-21bis | AJS-37 | AV-8B | L39 | C-101 | A-10C/CII | Yak-52 | P-51D | P-47D | Fw 190 A-8/D-9 | Bf 109 | Spitfire | I-16 | UH-1 Huey
Jtizo Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 I have completed three levels of the campaign. The one aspect I love about this campaign is that you can fly as a wingman instead of the lead aircraft on some of the missions. As a former Air Force pilot, formation flying is the one aspect of the military flying that I miss now that I fly boring long distance flights on heavy cargo jets. I wish more DCS campaigns and missions would let you fly on the wing instead of being the lead aircraft. The air refueling of the KC135 at low altitude is also a lot of fun. The BFM fighting is also pretty fun. About my only criticism of the campaign is the idea of when you have to use the normal radio calls verses the campaign radio comms. I also wish their was a way to get the RIO to do some of the radio freq changing without having to go through the Jester Menu. It took me a little while to figure out how to navigate into the range, but I think I have it figured out now. 1
