I'm learning to trim nose up and use throttle to control glide path while landing the hornet, AOA, FPM centered in the E bracket and such. Id like to know if theres an ideal tail horizontal stabilator angle to start at when landing on the carrier, and/or at an airfield. Like when we catapult its between 16* and 19* depending on weight. What should I trim the pitch to on the downwind leg just so I'm not guessing on final?

Trim to whatever gets your velocity vector inside the E-bracket for optimal AoA, that's it. You don't want to shoot for a specific stabilator angle, because in the landing configuration, the only thing the jet cares about is AoA.
