The Kopyo-25 pod is a fairly sophisticated radar - e.g. it supports simultaneous engagement of two air targets with RVV-AEs and has 3 air-to-surface modes. None of the these radar functionalities exist in Lock-on, so a major development effort would be required in order to properly depict this radar.......and there would be little reason to make the Su-25TM flyable without it, since it is the very thing that turns a Su-25T into a - TM :) .

Ah..... simultaneus engagements?!?! Like the TWs on f-15's? :noexpression: WOW ! Sincerely I didn't know that, I thought was only for the air to ground.

Will you succeed to implement this technology in the future expansions?

Thanks for the answer alfa.

Yes simultaneous engagement of two targets from TWS mode(with RVV-AE ARH missiles).

Well the "Kopyo"(there are several variants) is meant for upgrading smaller combat aircraft(such as MiG-21 and MiG-23) for which radars of the "Zhuk" line(for MiG-29 primarily) would be too big. But the technology of the "Kopyo" is derrived from the "Zhuk" and therefore it retains the "multi purpose" nature of this. The "Kopyo-25"(specifically developed for the Su-25TM aka Su-39) was just a matter of "stuffing" the radar into an external belly pod because there wasn't enough room inside the Su-25 airframe.

But although the radar provides good air-to-air capability, I think your initial impression of it being for air-to-ground only does have merit in connection with its application on the Su-25TM specifically - i.e. apart from the potential for "self escort", I would say that the ground mapping modes are the most useful given the general nature of the aircraft(dedicated anti-tank).

Will you succeed to implement this technology in the future expansions?

I cannot answer that question mate - I am just a tester :) .

Thanks for the answer alfa.

You are welcome :) .

I think that have been done before.

Actually I flight the TM version of the froogfoot... Just jave a pb with the kh-35 and other heavy missiles which the T version could not carry.

I have renamed the cockpit LOM files of the 25-T (bazard/wolrd/sahpes) in :

Kabina-SU-39-GLASS.lom

su-39_lod1.lom

Kabina-SU-39.cmd

There is a zip file here to do this :

I Hope this mod could be useful for you.

I don't deserve it  That's really nice thank you ;)

And to proove that i'm grateful, I will publish in a few minutes a new video with :

- The Su-25TM in action

- Your ships explosions textures

- Your ships artwork

- Your Mig-29 artwork

In fact it is already available for download but, I'm uploading a streaming preview and doing a picture that's why i have not alreday created a dedicated thread for this video :
