Super Libra: Stiff spring settings (are 2 springs OK?)

Hoping someone can clarify the spring options available since the manual is slightly confusing. My goal is to get the safest stiffest spring setting possible.

A couple assumptions:

With the stick comes two packages of 2 springs (#5 + #4).

Two #6 springs are installed by default in position 1

The manual (attached) says "It is not recommended to combine the default spring and the number 3 spring, or use in pairs".

First there is no number 3 spring right? Confusing...

Then it says "or use in pairs". What? It specifically says to throw the #6 spring and #4 spring on there for using the extension + z-axis at the same time.

I'm not using the z-axis, just the extension, but I'd personally love to throw the #6 spring in the top position and the #5 spring in the lower position at the same time, but not if its going to self destruct on me.

It looks really beefy so I'm having a hard time wondering why I shouldn't make this thing as stiff as my Virpil T-50 base.
