RoGaR Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone :) I just got my new Warthog HOTAS, and start to set it up. The afterburner workaround was known for me (ED forums, Redkite, internet, YT, etc.:book:) so I started with this. After I finished the setup of the user curve I started to flight. The engine sounds are not set to super-loud for me, so after a while, I found a mismatch between my hand motion and the cockpit sounds. More specifically that sound when the throttle touches the IDLE position in the left panel (a metal and a hardened rubber touches???). I found that there is a mismatch between the in-game throttle position and the HOTAS physical position. I tried to document it (see link below) and set the curve properly. Now works well around the idle and MIP position too. I hope it will help somebody. If this behaviour is a feature and not a bug, please let me know :joystick: (and please add an explanation too :book:) Cheers RoGaR Edit 1: Link removed. Antoine pointed out, that my solution were not works for "Weight on wheel" situations. The setup not allowed decrease the power under 70% RPM on the ground. Edit 2: At least I can share my user curve: 0 3 8 16 26 38 50 62 74 87 100 Edited June 13, 2020 by RoGaR

However, you may have not realized yet that the idle position isn't the same depending if you have weight on the wheel or not. I noticed that while redacting this guide (and that isn't a bug but a feature.. Which we should be able to turn off btw because most throttle can't replicate that..), I also propose a solution : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250033 Edited June 13, 2020 by Ant0ine

On the ground I cannot taxi under 70% Thank you. At least the linear part works for me. I must live with this I guess... :joystick: I saw your workaround. I'm gonna make one more try :) Edited June 13, 2020 by RoGaR
