If the guy did not find the trigger zone the mission has to move forward after 1 or tow minutes I know it is a pain if that happens right in the middle of the mission. Check the radio Menu F-10 as well if there is a continue mission option. Any conversation during his journey to the bridge and back? I will check the mission as well, but unfortunate it is to late for tomorrows update. But you will get some information about bypasing the mission tomorrow. Always happy landings ;)

The actual behavior of ground units even breaks the time controlled "safe trigger". Will find a way around and send a new version after the weekend to ED. Thank you for the notice and your passions. Matanga Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Hello Sadly I must inform that the mision is broken again (latest beta). Unit goes to bridge and comes back but does not board the chopper. IMHO, since for what I can see on this thread, this issue keeps repeating...would it not be better just to remove the unit and use just timers for the triggers? That should fix this once and for all It is a shame that such a well though and interesting campaign gets hindered by issues that are not the responsibility of the creator (I had also to skip mission 2 due to the Humvee getting stuck in a loop) And I can only imagine how frustrating must be to have to go back and fix the same thing over and over again (plus time consuming) Just my two cents

And you are right; it is very frustrating fixing the same things all over for years now, but that's the way it is. I will check Mission 2 as well Thank you for your patience. Always happy landings ;)

I know about the problems that ground units can cause, but this kind of situation control makes a big part of the real feeling for me. So I refuse to go the easy way and remove them even though they will probably have some tricks up their sleeves. In addition, but also be timed so as not to interrupt the flow; there will be in the coming version in the radio menu the possibility to skip the part with the vehicle. I will forward the update as soon as possible to ED and hope it will be part of the next update. Make me right now to mission 4. However, this should already have a backup? Always happy landings ;)

There is also already a fuse installed that continues the mission after the ground unit has reached the bridge about 90 seconds later. The mission should continue even if the ground unit does not find the trigger zone to enter. However, I will add another backup via the radio menu F-10 to be on the safe side. However, there is nothing against flying the mission again immediately. I, therefore, suspect that you have used time acceleration. I can understand that, but very often, triggers are not triggered. Waiting times are part of the missions and, in real life, make up the majority of a pilot's working time. In my missions, they provide an opportunity to drink, smoke or eat. Always happy landings ;)
Matanga Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 Hello Thank you very much for taking care of this I did not use time acceleration the 1st time I run the mission , I did use it on the second try 1st time I was using multi-threaded , second time single thread as I wanted to "test" if that may be causing the issue I had no idea that time acceleration may cause problems (so I guess my "test" was kinda useless). Thank you for pointing this out Again thank you very much for looking into this. The campaign is really good (even If I'm still at mission 4, from the 1st mission I could see this was going to be a good one) I love the immersion and that you did not pull back on the difficulty All the best!

Especially because the helicopter makes very high demands. Flying a helicopter in DCS is one thing, but "working" with it is quite another. The problems that occur in DCS with campaigns and triggers, unfortunately again and again, are because DCS is constantly evolving, often unavoidable, but also exhausting. I wish you a lot of fun with the campaign and ask you to contact me immediately if something does not work as expected. No matter where the error lies, even if the player overlooks al something, quick help gets for all of us the motivation. For the upcoming STORMFRONT campaign, I have learned a lot from this campaign, especially fuses and help are there integrated from the beginning.
