Frederf Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 With the speed brake switch in the hold (center) position and the brakes at a small angle they should be commanded to close fully regardless. Currently the speed brakes will hold at any angle. Track attached.F-16 Speed Brake Small Hold.zip
mvsgas Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 (edited) I have never heard if this. Where do you get this from? What is consider a "small angle" 5 degrees, 10 degrees? How does the flight computer know the angle of the speed brakes since there is no potentiometer like on all other surfaces? There are two plungers IIRC, one tells the system the speed brakes are open more that 2 degrees, the other that they are open more that 43 degrees. How does it tell angle in between? Edited June 19, 2020 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Frederf Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 You know I might be confused with A-10 which won't hold at less than 10%.
F16FLCS-SME Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 The "flight computer" as you called it, has nothing to do with the speedbrakes. The DFLCC gets no position feedback from the speedbrakes what so ever.
