Are the Tanker's position lights too dim?

It seems like after the last hot-fix the position lights on the tankers are very dim. They were dim to begin with in the sim, and I find them now almost unusable. Is this something the developers are aware of? I'm sure it is related to recent improvements in night lighting.

 

Does anyone know how to edit these effects?
