Help mapping some simple commands

Hi, I have brought a saitek throttle quadrant to use each of the 3 levers as hook, gear and flaps operators respectively. To do this, I needed to use Joystick gremlin to make & assign a macro keypress function to the levers in various positions. Supmua helped me do this and currently, I have the quadrant generating the required key press macros tested by using notepad to record the output.

 

Simply, the hook lever generates an "H" when cycled, the flaps lever generates left ctrl F & F & left shift F presses when at up down or centre positions and the gear lever generates G & left ctrl G for up and down positions.

 

However, within DCS, when I operate the levers, nothing happens......The quadrant via gremlin is operating as a simple keyboard and therefore the key presses it generates should be all I need to perform the same function as pressing G or F on my keyboard.....and therefore operate the gear or flaps.....So why does it not work within DCS? I have obviously checked that the keybinds in DCS match, they do.

 

Does anyone have any ideas? The same method works for him within DCS, but not for me.......So I must have missed something...

Try to run Joystick Gremlin as Admin.

Try to remove bindings of those functions (gear, flaps, hook) from all other devices in DCS to avoid input conflicts.

Hi both, I think running gremlin as administrator did the trick !! Tried it once and seems to be working fine, will have a longer play tonight...

Glad things are working out now! I never had to run mine as admin, but sometimes that is the way it is.
