I was updating to the latest drivers on my RTX 2080ti and of course I see the two choices. One for GRD and the other for SD. Now a person would assume that the GRD drivers are better for DCS but like so many things nowadays when a company tries to help games they actually make it worse. What is the general consensus on these drivers? Do I do Game Ready or do I stick with Studio?

Appreciate the advice.

Studio drivers are fine I use them all the time. But currently I am using the Game Ready driver.

Reinstalling the drivers is easy.

Thank you for your response. Yes I’m sure they both work but I’m wondering has anyone found one to be better than the other? You would think if they label it GAME READY DRIVER that it would be significantly better in DCS than studio drivers. I’m just trying to find out if it really is......or if it’s worse......or if it’s the same?

From the Nvidia site:

SD / GRD

All NVIDIA drivers provide full features and application support for top games and creative applications.

If you are a gamer who prioritizes day of launch support for the latest games, patches, and DLCs, choose Game Ready Drivers.

If you are a content creator who prioritizes stability and quality for creative workflows including video editing, animation, photography, graphic design, and livestreaming, choose Studio Drivers.

I'm going to try the studio driver version today.

I think there is no general answer. I prefer studio drivers for stability usually (They are more stable indeed). But on the current driver I had the better experience with the game ready driver.

Just a little update. I tried both drivers and I think the studio seems to be a bit smoother on my system. There’s so many variables that it might just be placebo but I’m sticking with the studio drivers. If anyone else has other results I would love to know them.

EDIT: nope....back to GRD.
