Namenlos Ein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 This devices were sometimes dropped from an aircraft… (1st clue) …over jungle.
Lucas_From_Hell Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Something related to Napalm? Maybe a piece of the tank?
zakobi Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 shit from the toilets on aircrafts like the b-52? or maybe from Vietnam aircrafts? Dedicated shit-munition dispenser? :D
Namenlos Ein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No. It is not a piece of anything broken, but it's looks like the piece of animal feces. And, yes, this is a piece of electronics. 2nd clue Close relatives of this devices were used during Gulf Wars.
zakobi Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 ahh, under golf war it was aluminum. Metal to disrupt electronics?
Lucas_From_Hell Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If it was used in Iraq, I think it's just a kibbeh with long shape :D
Namenlos Ein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) In Iraq it was long-shaped, in Vietnam — small and disgusting, but I asking about Vietnam era electronic equipment. Edited January 18, 2010 by Namenlos Ein

DarkWanderer Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 That was just what I meant. I don't have a good question ATM, so I'll pass the turn to whoever is willing to ask one. You want the best? Here i am...
topol-m Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Great I`ll seize the opportunity. I always have questions prepared: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
zakobi Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 oh god! why?!? DarkWander couldn't you have said everyone except topol-m? but i'll do my best. Seems non-russian and u.s. Might only have one engine and is of older type. 40-60 perhaps? 1
topol-m Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 oh god! why?!? DarkWander couldn't you have said everyone except topol-m? but i'll do my best. Seems non-russian and u.s. Might only have one engine and is of older type. 40-60 perhaps? :D It`s a little early for so much clues but, I`m generous (as always)... so it`s not russian, it has 1 engine, and about the years, well you are close. ;) Candair Tutor? No. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Wilde Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 OK. This is TurdSID. Hahahaha, that's just great. Dropping turds on enemy ground. Also that first article in your list gives a good read. About Topol's riddle I'd say it's Western, but not NATO. Looks like a 1960ies transport or trainer. If my eyes aren't fooling me the VSI reads m/sec as unit. Fuel gauge and some sort of flap indicator are in English. So I suppose it is an export version of a plane built in a country that doesn't use imperial units. In other words: I have no clue what it is. :D
topol-m Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 If my eyes aren't fooling me the VSI reads m/sec as unit. Yes, it`s m/sec. BAC167 Strikemaster or Jet Provost TMK 5 No. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
therion_prime Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Looks similar to a Fokker S14 Machtrainer .... but it's not :( My DCS movies:
topol-m Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 It`s not Fokker S14 Machtrainer. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I see you have difficulties finding it out, so new clues: it`s a subsonic aircraft, first flight in the 60s, the cockpit you see is of an improved version delivered later. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
