Griffin Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) Ok, so I read this book: Я дрался с асами люфтваффе. На смену павшим. 1943–1945 - Драбкин Артем. (I fought with the aces of luftwaffe 1943-1945 - Artem Drabkin) Apparently it can be read online also. There is this picture and the caption says: "Mechanics are preparing a MiG-3 with АШ-82 engine for flight." Wikipedia says: "On 13 May 1941 the NKAP ordered the OKO to convert a MiG-3 to use the Shvetsov ASh-82A radial engine then entering production. The resulting aircraft had a variety of names, including I-210, MiG-3-82, Samolyot IKh or Izdeliye 65. The design was a failure, but was promising enough to continue the program as the I-211." The article doesn't say anything about MiG-9. Yeah, it's Wikipedia, I know. :D Also Wiki doesn't have an article about I-210. I should have checked airwar.ru but propably would have missed the MiG-9. Good job significant! Edited November 6, 2009 by Griffin
