topol-m Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 ^^^ I don`t have any idea what I`m looking at. I mean it`s some plans but what`s on them I don`t have a clue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Namenlos Ein Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 This is the real assembly drawing in two sheets of a certain subassembly unit for famous russian fighter jet. I'm sure you've seen it before.
Griffin Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The name of the drawing indicates that it's a part of the nose gear hatch. The first drawing is an overview of it and the second one shows cutaways from different parts of it. You can see the hinges and the slight arching. Couldn't find it. I think I went through all possible famous Russian fighter jets.
Griffin Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Looks like the hinges are on the wrong side to be MiG-9.
topol-m Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Ok new guess then. Yak-141 exhaust flaps? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lawndartleo Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Too long. Thes bad boys are nearly 3m (9.7ft) long Too old. I doubt that Mig is converting all their early coldwar era jets designs to modern CAD. And the clincher, I think, is that the notch is opposite the hinges while on the Mig-9 doors the notch is on the same side as the hinges.
lawndartleo Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 You realize that if Topol gets this one he is going to be especially vindictive in his next offering.
topol-m Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 You realize that if Topol gets this one he is going to be especially vindictive in his next offering. Exactly  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Griffin Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Too long. Thes bad boys are nearly 3m (9.7ft) Yeah, very long. They look alot like flaps also but I'm pretty sure the name of the drawing says it's a nose gear hatch. You realize that if Topol gets this one he is going to be especially vindictive in his next offering. Dear god! Everybody search! 1
topol-m Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) Dear god! Everybody search! Don`t form a coalition against me :D They look alot like flaps also but I'm pretty sure the name of the drawing says it's a nose gear hatch. You are right. "ПНШ" should be front nose wheel. Now this is where define "famous" comes up. More or less all soviet fighters are famous. Though note he said russian not soviet fighter. Might be a hint. Edit: I got it. It`s secret plans of PAK-FA`s front nose wheel hatch. I`m calling FSB. :music_whistling: Edited December 4, 2009 by topol-m [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
