markturner1960 Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Hi, I decided to set up a secondary DCS PC for VR and have an issue with the display. basically, its as if the viewpoint is reversed 180 degrees, almost as if I am looking backwards through a mirror? In flight, I am on the tip of the nose, looking back down towards the jets tail..... Any idea what the issue is and how to correct? Thanks System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
Lange_666 Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 When you are in the main menu of DCS, do you have the same experience? Also, check the UI layer in the controls section (all the way down below the aircraft controls), there's a VR Center key you can bind. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL. Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!
Rookie1983 Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 (edited) Purchased Oculus rift s about month ago and I also have the same problem. You need to buy PCI 3.0 USB card, USB ports on the motherboard can't handle the VR due to the lack of power. However, yesterday I did find a temporary fix for this issue. Press Pause, take off your helmet (oculus rift s) and wait few minutes. When you put it back the problem will go away. Too bad it's just a temporary solution and it's absolutely unplayable online this way. I also don't you see oculus touch. If you do, leave them without batteries for 3 minutes when you take your Oculus off and after just put them back. I strongly recommend you to but PCIe USB 3.0 card. I ordered mine, but it would take about a week to receive it Edited July 20, 2020 by Rookie1983 Added
