I’ve been having an issue with my track IR becoming jumpy after a while of use, I can steady it momentarily by zooming in and out but that’s only temporary. Anyone else have this issue? Is it an internal track ir issue or an outside factor, lighting, vibration, temperature etc?

If you can rule out the lighting interference (sunlight, some lights etc) that creates excess IR signature, and you have the TrackIR camera cleaned up from dust/smudges and you have checked that IR LED's (ProCap) works, then it is about software.

I'll 2nd the light interference suggestion. Typically when my TIR has gotten jumpy it's been when sunlight has started messing with it. Often it happens after time when the sun moves from it's original location and starts reflecting off something else, or can be compounded with wind moving tree leaves resulting in intermittent issues.

I threw my track ir on the ground

Even with the curtains closed, the tiniest of sun rays 6 meters behind me would make it go apesh*t.

You may need one of those clips with the lights in it.

Agreed. Mine was going loopy so I selected Camera View in the TIR software. As well as the 3 green lights, I was getting several red ones in a line underneath. Turns out it was light from the monitor reflecting off my gold chain. Seriously. So I tried turning down the sensitivity and in the end, removed the chain.

It's either that or wear a silk scarf...
