Gierasimov Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 A question to the ED team please: Should I expect DCS The Channel map to fully support DCS Supercarrier communications? What I mean by that, is I can't get LSO talking to me after "Roger ball" apart from bolter of wave off now and then. My passes are by no means perfect and it seems the following happens: All after "roger ball" -- If I bolter - I will hear bolter call - OK, second pass nothing though but I guess this one is expected. If I am aiming VV on the carrier crotch I will get a wave off when at the ramp. If I am not aligned - no call is made. If I am too high or too low - no call is made. When I catch wire 2 or 3 my score is always -- no grade below average but safe pass or C (cut) when doing MAX throttle on arresting. I just tried now, and as soon as I stopped with wire 3 LSO said to me Power, you are a little low. The track is always killing my jet when I try to play it back as well. The reason I asked about Channel map is that when I tried with CASE 1 stock training mission it worked I think, LSO pointed out I was a little high. Doum76 Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 This is an old post, but i don'T understand at all the Moderator who added the [Need track replay] as the entire DCS community knows the replays is DCS are easily desynced, specialy on the carriers. The replays has issues to remember all the infos the game add, most of the time on my side, anytime i start on the carrier, it goes wrong, altitude not coresponsing to how it was when i flew it, and this seems to happens either when starting directly on the carrier, or when trying to relaunch from the carrier, in other words, once you touched the carrier the replays ended up with an altitude missbehavior. As if the replay system doesn't take into consideration the carrier decks height from sea level. Only way i found to have a perfect carrier operation not having altitude corruption or anything, is taking off from land airfield, trap on the carrier, ONCE, and stop replays landed on the carrier, if i take off, chances either first trap qill be corrupted, or fine and second will be.

So far carrier comms in Syria map are pretty much OK I guess. I mean, in case 1 I may get alignment call from time to time but LSO is quiet otherwise. I guess this is normal zip lip and my passes are just good enough for him to keep his mouth shut.
