speedbird5 Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Hi all, I pulled my TM F-18 stick apart but I can't for the life of me get the spring in place behind the paddle switch. Is there some trick to it ? Any help appreciated.
Brun Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Hard to describe any particular trick, but I definitely needed a lot of patience. Pretty sure tweezers were involved as well. speedbird5 Posted July 18, 2020 Author Posted July 18, 2020 Thanks for the reply. I have tried for literally two hours and I couldn’t get it. Did you assemble the grip first and then try the spring ?
VFA41_Hedgehog Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Disassembled mine and had the same nightmare. Cannot explain how I get it back together... fiddled with the spring for at least an hour with tweezers and jeweler's tools and just got lucky. Good luck. VFA-41 Black Aces www.vfa-41.com
speedbird5 Posted July 19, 2020 Author Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Thanks. I cannot believe how difficult they made this and why didn’t they just stick to the same paddle switch and mechanism as the Warthog. I also noticed the plastic part of the tactile switch for the paddle was bent over and I think it may eventually fail. Edited July 19, 2020 by speedbird5
speedbird5 Posted July 19, 2020 Author Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Why are you disassembling the grip? To tighten the shaft which is loose and wobbles back and forth as reported here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250263 Edited July 19, 2020 by speedbird5
