dcshobbis Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 In 11th and 15th of June, I ordered some stuff from Virpil since they now accept pre-orders. VPC Constellation Alpha-R VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Throttle VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base I am happy to say that all products arrived yesterday, it only took a month. I am a bit concerned of comments that the product quality assurance might not be as good as before, but I will test the gear and provide my comments and reflections in near future. The initial reaction is positive. Sturdy good units which are well packaged! The intention is that these will replace my Hotas Warthog kit as well as my Logitech rudder pedals since I am trying to mount everything on a office chair so it all can be easily stoved. I am totally a newbie on Virpil stuff so this will be a interesting trip! The boxes Throttle box with content information The throttle, still wrapped in bubble plastic Unboxed! Also includes USB cable Lets check the other box Alpha Box Base box Box in a box... as usual Neat. Dogtags with the Alpha logo Grip and dogtags Grip and dogtags The base box, with instructions on cams and springs The base Grip mounted on base Kind of looks like the Alien in the Alien movie, doesn't it? Just beautiful! Looks really good and feels sturdy Throttle is just a button galore!! Throttle, base and the base plate I have had a go yesterday night with just some minor configuration to get it going and went for a mission with the F86 Sabre in the Museum Relic campaign. Everything works as expected and it surely feels like a great update to my old Warthog kit. The software is not easy to use, but once you understand it and use it, it grows on you..... Throttle: Virpil Mongoos T-50CM2 all mounted on a IKEA office chair with the Monstertech office chair kit.

Swine Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I’ve bought tons of Virpil equipment and no problems so far. Show me a company that gives you the variety that Virpil offers. We are lucky to have them. 1
Ashcroft Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Interesting You seem to have a new version of the stick mount interface. Mine is as shown on the website with the smooth threaded stick mount and pin plug that screws in from the top, where yours has a castellated stick mount thread and pin plug that appears to now mount from underneath. Man they iterate on these things a lot. Mine is only a couple months older. 1 i9 10900X & 5700XT VPC WarBRD, TM F18C, VPC Alpha, VPC T50CM2 Throttle, TM TFRP Pedals, Oculus Rift S
CybrSlydr Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Great work with the pics - really appreciate it! I'm in the market and seeing one of their new models in detail like this is a huge plus for me. 1
dcshobbis Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 Working flawlessly for a few months now. The twist on the stick is a bit too easy to use involuntary, but otherwise it's great!
