ADMIN DELETING THREADS

Hi,

 

Well as you all know that once a "Good" thread gets started some where or some people just cant be nice to eachother.

 

I would like to propose that "ADMINISTRAORS" would just "Delete" the offencive posts insted of "Deleting the whole thread"

 

There are a number of reasons why this would be effective and usefull to our comunity.

 

1. We would not need to "Repost" threads like ECM IFF threads.

 

2. We can continue to discuss information on specific topics.

 

3. We can keep exsisting intelegent people to post and remain active on this site.

 

Just my input and I hope in the future threads will not get deleted. Its nice to see all of the good posts and the information we all know.

We haven't deleted any threads. We closed the ECM-IFF thread after members began to make it personal and drag the squad/team differences here. We have a specific rule against that for reasons that have already been very well established.

 

I'm sorry, but we're not babysitters to be going after and deleting every offending post. We're not here to settle "who started it." We assume forum members are smart enough to understand and mature enough to comply with the forum rules. If not, we close the offending threads and/or issue warnings. Often, we might give a "fair warning" in public before taking any further action, but this thread wasn't as fortunate, because the damage had already been done. Hopefully, we can steer clear of the MP accusations next time.
