Help targeting POD/FLIR

Sorry for my rookie question but I have recently been using DCS seriously.

How do I upload POD targeting (without which I understand that I cannot use FLIR) to the F / A-18C? and in general how can I load the missiles I want?

Do I have to do a "mission"?

do you mean pre-planned target co-ordinates? FLIR is for targets of opportunity. Loadout can be selected in the airbase via comms menu - ground crew - rearm/refuel

Creating a mission is the complicated way. Usually you can rearm via the communication menu. Prerequisites are, that the airfield/carrier is of you coalition and has the ammo/pod etc you want to load in stock.

 

In my localization the comms menu is opened by pressing #, then f8 for ground crew then f1 for rearm refuel. A windoe should pop-up

Left Alt + @ (based on a UK keyboard layout) on the ground will open the rearm menu directly without the radio menu.

Ok FLIR activates ...:thumbup: now it takes some training for AGM 65 F / G / E and AGM 88 ...:smilewink:

I take a while to ask: the liveries and some "mission" on "user files" where should they be placed? because I read conflicting indications ...:helpsmilie:

Finally grateful if you want to report some simple mission, both air / air and air / earth, to be able to download. :music_whistling:
