GR00VYJERRY Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 What do the 4 two way switches do on the mfd (gain/bet/sym/con)?
=Panther= Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Changes the Gain, Brightness, Symbology, and Contrast of each MFD, however I don’t know if each is fully functional at this stage. PS it is BRT not BET. Frederf Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 GAIN is for sensor gain like the GM radar. I'm not sure if it does or does not allow direct gain control for TGP. If the sensor has a gain adjustment this should interface with it. BRT is for brightness of the video component of the display, e.g. Maverick video or TGP video. CON is contrast of video component of the display. Those two go hand in hand. SYM is symbology intensity which is all the letters, numbers, lines, and symbols drawn logically like the labels around the edge, rings, etc. What's nice is that each video format has independent for BRT/CON/GAIN so you can set TGP one way and WPN another. In the case of GAIN that's per-sensor in any situation where the same sensor is accessible through multiple MFD formats. Symbology is global for that MFD. The RESET menu allows setting and resetting to and from a memory day and night slot which holds sym/brt/con values. There are also some other reset functions.

=Panther= Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Thanks. Autocorrect must have changed it. It is okay, I didn’t know if it was an autocorrect or maybe not being able to see the font clearly in the pit.
