JCook Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I just received the DeltaSimElectronics Warthog slew modification kit. Instructions say I may need to update my WartHog Throttle firmware. I'm sure I don't have a current firmware - I bought my Warthog HOTAS in 2010 or 2011, and don't recall ever updating the firmware. Now my concern is inadvertently bricking the Throttle with a bad firmware update experience. For those that have bricked their WartHog Throttle - was ThrustMaster able to send a replacement board? I am wondering how supportive they are in replacing bricked components. What have you experienced? Thanks.
MustangSally Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 The chances are minimal that you will brick it. Make sure it is the only controller plugged in to the PC (except mouse and keyboard) and also ensure it is plugged into a motherboard USB port, not hub etc. I updated mine after doing the mod with no issues.
