Hey guys, need help. I have been playing Jane's F-18 for some time now without ever having any problems. But I just updated my video card from a EVGA 7900gt 256m to a EVGA 8800gt 500m. Now I'm having that slowdown when set the master mode to A to A. I try to research all the forums (TSH, frugals, SimHQ, etc) and did all the different fixes. Even did a reinstalled but when I use the DXcontrol.exe to fix the slow down, my HUD gets all scramble. Anyone has experience this or know how to fix it? I figure it would not hurt to ask.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Thank you, I thought the force ware drivers where not sponsor by nvidia or the video card manufacturer, How will they affect my other games and my video card?

Nvidia share them from back-door. Just give a try.

Rgr. Btw you should keep in your mind that 8800 series cards have problems with old games such as LO. An example full shadow problem.

well that did not work, I can not get the force drivers to installed in my computer. It get half way and tell me that I'm drivers are not compatible with my hard ware. I got a Asus p5nsli, Patriot 2gb pc5300 ddr2, EVGA 8800gt 500m, core2duo 6300. nvidia drivers 169.44 work fine in any other game except that one. Thanks for the help

Hello Joe:

I have installed everything for TSH as indicated on the TSH site. I have an nvidia 8800 with 169.75 drivers.Running tweaker with recommended settings.

I have an issue when i use the HI RES package: see pic-

banding is present, and the HUD AA ASEC circle is all over the screen (dots)

Thank you guys for your help, I have the same problem as this guys but he never got a answer. I have been on that forum thread before and did everything they said to do with the same results as Vexx 157th. I guess is not a big deal and I will have to learn how to deal with the little green dots all over the frame. Thank you very much guys.

First I just want to say thanks to Torwak and Groove for your help. Like always, it was a simple fix. Well I not sure exactly how I fix it but, in desperation and frustration, I re-installed TSHv1 over TSHv3.6 that I had. Re-installed TSHV3.6 and instead of using TSHv3manager to set up my screen resolution I went to the game and set resolution there. Try different ones but the only one that seems to work without the slowing down while in A2A mode is 1024x768. Pretty low but I can live with it. At first that did not fix it but then I use DirectXTweaker and finally I can play the game again without the A2A slow down and without the wired graphics anomalies. I know that Jane's is not the best game out there but it is the best F-18/naval game I have. Any way, thank for you help
