Lefty91 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 After watching Overkill's tutorial I went back in to fart around with the radar and noticed that when contacts pop up, an ED with a corresponding number shows above it. It looks something like ED41 or ED31, etc. Any idea what that means? I've been told it might be a datalink track identifier but we're not too sure.
dundun92 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 That means another Viper (maybe hornet as well?) is locking/bugging that guy, an thats his callsign. ED probably means Enfield, so Enfield 4-1 Eagle Enthusiast, Fresco Fan. Patiently waiting for the F-15E. Clicky F-15C when? HP Z400 Workstation Intel Xeon W3680 (i7-980X) OC'd to 4.0 GHz, EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SSC Gaming, 24 GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB Crucial MX500 SSD. Thrustmaster T16000M FCS HOTAS, DIY opentrack head-tracking. Lefty91 Posted September 3, 2020 Author Posted September 3, 2020 No, that can't be it. I can track a tanker or lock him and his callsign would be Texaco..or Arco. This happens on an aerobatic server as well so I doubt any other Viper or Hornet is locking up random targets. Only happens with the FCR, contacts on the HSD don't show the ED sign.
