Adam Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Hi, The other night I had a couple of times where I had the left DDI in the EW page practising some BCM with a friend where the screen just went black. The DDI was still on 'day' - but it was as though the screen was turned off. I was just wondering if over-stressing the aircraft causes the left DDI to fail, and if this is a feature - or if there's something else dumb that I'm doing. (As the two times it occurred I had sudden aircraft movements at high speed that may have been overstressing)? (This is on the latest stable release). If it happens again I'll look at saving a track file (I didn't do it that night) but just wanted to check if it is something I'm doing wrong or a feature I'm not aware of?
Bunny Clark Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Nope, as far as I know there is no over-G damage model that would effect the DDIs. The only two normal things that would make it go black are the OFF/NIGHT/DAY knob and the Brightness knob. Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign. Aaah - I wonder what's the bet that I've mapped the brightness nob to a POT on my HOTAS accidently and it was turned down and bumped slightly at that moment! Thanks so much - I'll check this out if it happens again!
