Landing Gear Warning Lights Too Dim

I have a hard time telling if my gear is up or down as the

red and green lights are way too dim. It there some way

that they can be made at least as bright as on the P-51?

Is it because they are on the upper portion of the instrument panel

whereas on the Mustang they are at the bottom?

I wouldn't think so. It doesn't seem to rely on global lighting angles.

Even in the shade they are barely visible.
