Hi,

Does anyone know if the game profile works in Amd software?

It seems like it doesn't, I overrode the application settings for SSAA\MSAA to x8 but nothing really changed (graphics or performance).

In other non-vr games, profiles are working.

Dcs is the only game that I play with vr.

Using the latest driver 20.8.3 rx580 8gb

Thank you.

The profile will work for things such as overclocking and undervolting, but not all settings have a relevance to DCS, or will overwrite the DCS settings. Things like AA and MSAA are pretty hit or miss.

I did find that using the AA and AF settings in the Radeon game profile helped with a fps or two, but to me it seemed to make it look a bit worse, including adding a fair amount of shimmering on trees and buildings etc.

I tried following the same logic as people have done with the settings for nVidia settings, but it didn't seem to work out the same.

What did help me smooth out things was switching on the Radeon enhanced Sync, and turning off v-sync in game. Totally got rid of some nasty "tearing" with having v-sync off.

I also found having Texture Filtering Quality set to performance definitely added a few fps and it still looked the same image quality to me.

I've also got Surface Format Optimization to on, and Morphological AA enabled.

Running on a RX5700XT at 1440, I get 100'sh fps during the day (with plenty of AI aircraft around) and it drops down to the 50's at night/really bad weather etc. depending on the scene.

In game textures are high, water medium, shadows medium, MSAA set to x2, SSSA off, SSLR off, AF x16.
