i am doing a bit of small tweaking here to get the most out of the game .

excatly what does the below settings [ marked in red ] , do?

is it for distance?

if you could , explian those settings to me some .

the higher the setting , the lesser the texture? or vise-versa ?

does this setting impact my fps?

The higher the value the further out you will see high quality texture and that will require more texture to be loaded into video card memory... which will reduce performance... not by much if you have top end video card but it will reduce it.

my 7600 gt is a midrange card . i am planning on a 8800 series in the near future though . i am just trying to tweak a small bit , to get a better look , but not at the cost of to much performance . i installed tekas structures visability mod . the medium one . that seem to work out good .

no pop up trees works good also .

i guess i will have to wait for a better card before i can do any real tweaking .

LOFC is CPU heavy. The athlon 3700 is a little low. Card could be higher but some here are still using it but with a faster CPU.

thanks for your imput here buddy .

i am looking at a new upgrade for the future . i am waiting on the right prices .

 

intel e 8400 ,

8800 gt or gts ,

and 4 gigs of ram .

i am also looking at the x52 .

i will pick up the peices as they go on sale at ncix . by the coming fall , i should be ready for the build .

i should see a good difference then .

plus , i will have a bit more room , to tweak up the game a bit .
