Swift. Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Again, I'm not 100% certain this is a bug, but I don't remember it being like this so it might be worth checking. When the pod is stabilised by area or point modes, pressing WPDSG won't cause the pod to slave to the new designation. https://youtu.be/pxlYItrkawIFLIRWPDSGbug.trk 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
Jak525 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Good report. In ATRK or PTRK, from a technical standpoint it's considered a tracking designation where the TGT is slaved to the thing the FLIR is tracking. In Stabilized Pointing Mode, it's the opposite where the FLIR is slaved to where the TGT is and happens to be slewing it. This is why the FLIR legend on the HUD only shows for ATRK/PTRK, just like the AG radar for example - RDR only shows when the radar is tracking. If you just TDC depress in MAP, it's not considered a tracking designation and there is no RDR legend. But tl;dr I don't know for sure the correct behavior. However it's possible the way it works now is right.
Santi871 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Yeah, if FLIR is tracking it should create and drive the designation. I'll report it.
