Scuffer91 Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Hello folks, So after downloading the most recent stable version update I had a strange issue with the game crashing when I tried to loading it with an error message "Unable to locate install directory". I was able to get around this yesterday by running the dcs_updater.exe which found there were no updates and ran the program. Tried again today and it provided the same error message and the updater executable was no longer i the DCS folder it was yesterday. As a result I ran the repair tool today and it had me downloaded 40GB of files and the game now runs again from the desktop shortcut and main menu items. However, none of the terrain/aircraft modules are registering as downloaded, despite their folders/files being the DCS install folders. So as a result I cant reinstall them as there's insufficient space because they're already there! Any ideas? Cheers Des
