The piano switches that I have that I used on the tape player were too small to use. The panel would be about 75% of the actual size if I use them. I found these too late to incorporate in my own button box, so never acquired one But even then, these switches may work great for the F14 HSD modes, but not for much else and since I kept my HSD box more generic, so I could use it in other modules, probably would have not used it anyway Intel I5 13600k / AsRock Z790 Steel Legend / MSI 4080s 16G Gaming X Slim / Kingston Fury DDR5 5600 64Gb / Adata 960 Max / HP Reverb G2 v2 Virpil MT50 Mongoost T50 Throttle, T50cm Base & Grip, VFX Grip, ACE Interceptor Rudder Pedals w. damper / WinWing Orion2 18, 18 UFC & HUD, PTO2, 2x MFD1 / Logitech Flight Panel / VKB SEM V / 2x DIY Button Box

I made an ejection handle that's mounted to my joystick base, it has an Arming switch on the back side I revised my UHF radio to look mor3e like the real thing and use a more commonly available 7 segment display, it's now functional and runs off an Arduino micro. Only the LED requires DCS BIos, the rest still functions as a generic HID device so I can use it with the simulator that shall not be named. I'm in the process of revising my Display panel with MX switches, as they allow me to use my own custom caps that look like the piano switches used on the tomcat. They feel better to press than the 10mm push buttons I have now. They won't spin and lock like the real thing, but they look nicer. Revised my master test panel And my warning panel They run off the same Arduino Mega and I created my own PCB's for the first time, making each module separate for easy replacement null Also added a magnetic attached hood to the acm and side panels It's mostly refining and the last 1% at this point Hey LASooner, those hoods look amazing, may i ask how you made them? Are they bent metal or 3D-printed?
LASooner Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 3d printed PLA, I used some fake stone texture to give it the bumpy look, but i'm not real happy with it, I think I may sand it down a little and repaint 1 F-14B, F-16, F-18C, A-10C, F-5E, F-86, FC3, BF-109, FW-190, P-51, Spitfire, UH-1,AJS-37 Viggen, MIG-15, MIG-19, MIG-21, AV-8B Harrier, P-47D Persian Gulf, Caucuses, NTTR, Normandy, The Channel, Syria Combined Arms, WWII Assets,Super Carrier TM Warthog, Virpil VFX,BuddyFox UFC, Saitek Pro Flight quadrant & Switch Panel, Odyssey+ VR, Jet Pad w/ SSA, Voice Attack w/Viacom Pro GeForce RTX2080TI OC, Intel Core i7-7700K 4.5Ghz, 64GB DDR4, Dedicated 1TB SSD

I didn't discover that my left fire anunciator fell off until it lit up, Decided to take a family photo with the 3 front mounted pieces, I think the deskpit is looking pretty sporty. The AOA and Wing Sweep gauges are non functional. All that's left is wiring up the left gauges panel, and the right side lower console and this will be done until I decide to start playing with servos and extra monitors. Sent from my Samsung Chromebook Plus using Tapatalk Mate, that is fantastic. I'm slowly starting to get stuff in line to start making my own instrument panel. That is amazing. I've started making my templates for the frame then I'll move onto 3D printing the VDI, HSD and the bezels. I'll likely just make them static displays. Did you design your own prints for the bezels and HSD, VDI and ACM panel? 1
